Youth Justice Worker Returners Scheme
This is a returners scheme for former youth justice workers to rejoin HM Prison and Probation Service and help keep prisons and the public safe. You will work within youth custody facilities, supporting colleagues and supervising young people through various shift patterns. This physically active role involves direct engagement with children and young people in custody to help them rehabilitate. You will collaborate closely with wider prison teams and operational staff to maintain a secure environment.
What they're looking for
- Former youth justice worker with less than 5 years gap
- Completed foundation training and probation before leaving
- Aged 18 or over at the start of employment
- Able to pass medical, fitness, and eyesight assessments
Nationality requirements
This job is broadly open to UK nationals, Republic of Ireland nationals, Commonwealth citizens with right to work, EUSS status holders, and Turkish Ankara Agreement workers.
